Allen Parish Jail Roster
The official online starting point is the Allen Parish Sheriff roster chooser. It has two public paths: Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release. Current Inmates displays people listed at the Allen Parish Detention Center, while the release channel lists persons released within the last 48 hours. The current roster inspected on June 16, 2026 displayed 114 inmates, name and date controls, current and released controls, newest-to-oldest and oldest-to-newest sort options, a Search By Name field, and paginated results.
Allen Parish County inmate records on the roster are jail records, not full court files. The roster disclaimer says the information is maintained for convenience and cannot be certified for accuracy or authenticity. The sample profile also warns that charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances. Treat the roster as the first custody check. Use the jail phone line, the clerk, the district attorney, or a state or federal locator when the question moves beyond current parish jail booking data.
Use Allen Parish Inmate Roster
The roster works best when the searcher has a name, a rough booking date, or a booking number from a family member, attorney, bond company, or arresting agency. If spelling is uncertain, Show All and date sorting can help. On the date inspected, each list entry showed a mugshot thumbnail, name, booking number, booking date and time, charges, bond, and a View Profile link. The profile adds the arresting agency and basic identifying fields.
- Open the sheriff roster chooser and select Current Inmates for active jail custody.
- Select 48 Hour Release if the person may have left the detention center recently.
- Use Search By Name, or browse the roster with Show All if the spelling may vary.
- Use Date or newest-to-oldest sorting to review recent bookings.
- Open View Profile to collect the booking number, charge text, arresting agency, and bond warning.
- Call 337-639-4353 before posting bond or relying on a charge or case number.

Allen Parish Search Fields
The sheriff roster has fewer search controls than many court portals, but its controls are enough for most current-custody checks. No fee or login was observed. No wildcard rules, minimum-character instructions, or exact refresh interval were published on the sheriff roster page. LCLE explains that LA VINE roster sites use live jail-management-system data updated every 30 minutes, but that statement should be tied to LA VINE rather than treated as a promise for every sheriff-page field.

Allen Parish Inmate Profile
A public profile is more detailed than the list view, but it is still a jail booking record. The inspected sample profile displayed the name in a large heading, a single booking image, booking number, age, gender, race, address city and state, arresting agency, booking date and time, charge text, bond, and a warning that charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances. It did not show housing unit, court date, warrant number, judge, release date, height, weight, or date of birth.

The image reinforces the main records point: a jail profile is a booking snapshot and should be confirmed before bond, court, or legal decisions are made.
Allen Parish Lookup Channels
Allen Parish County inmate records can move across systems. A person arrested locally may start on the parish roster. A person sentenced to Louisiana DOC custody may later be searched through the Louisiana DPS&C offender information page or by phone locator. A federal sentenced person belongs in the BOP locator. An ICE detainee belongs in the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. LA VINE and VINELink add custody-status notification.

Allen Parish Jail Facilities
The primary contact for parish jail custody is the Allen Parish Public Safety Complex / Allen Parish Jail. Kinder City Jail appears as a municipal jail listing, but no separate city roster or visitation page was found. Allen Correctional Center is a state prison in the parish and should not be treated as a parish jail.

Allen Parish Booking Process
Local booking starts when the sheriff, a city police department, state police, or another agency brings an arrested person to the Public Safety Complex. The jail has a large sally port for receiving arrestees. Correctional staff book people in, guard them, supervise meals, and transport them to court. Louisiana C.Cr.P. art. 229 requires the officer in charge to tell a booked prisoner the charge, the right to communicate with counsel, and the right to request preliminary examination for a felony.
After booking, the roster may show the booking number, date, mugshot, charges, and bond. Medical screening, housing classification, and dorm assignment occur inside the jail. The FAQ says arraignment location depends on where the person was arrested and the type of charge, and most weekend arrestees are arraigned at the courthouse the following week. If a person remains in custody after arraignment, the FAQ says the person is remanded to the Allen Parish Jail.
Allen Parish Visitation Rules
The sheriff's visitation rules state that visits are conducted over kiosks, not face to face. Visitors must have a valid driver's license or state ID, dress appropriately, and accompany minors age 17 or younger. Regular inmate visits are 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. according to dorm schedule. ICE detainees housed at the complex may receive one-hour facility visits seven days a week during the same facility window. Remote visits run through JailATM from 7 a.m. CST to 10 p.m. CST at a cost.

Note: Call the jail before traveling because a dorm assignment, hold status, or rule change can affect a visit.
The same schedule should not be applied to Kinder City Jail or Allen Correctional Center. Kinder did not have a published visitation page in the research, and Allen Correctional Center follows Louisiana DOC weekend prison rules instead of the parish dorm schedule.
Allen Parish Phone Money
The inspected sheriff pages did not publish a full commissary deposit policy, phone vendor, tablet program, mail format, or fee table. JailATM was the only vendor identified in the official visitation material, and it was tied to remote visitation from home. Because no money-deposit fee schedule was located, do not assume a deposit fee, daily limit, or commissary ordering method from another parish. Confirm current money, mail, and phone rules with the facility before sending funds or scheduling a paid service.
